For my project I followed the Research Triangle High School boys soccer team throughout their fall 2021 season. Led by head coach Jay Liotta and three captains, Kidus, Liam and Zach, the team had a great season. With these images my goal was to capture every aspect of the team. From game-turning plays and victories, captain leadership, and even defeat, to lunchtime laughs, long school days and supportive parents in the stands, I aimed to show all that it is to be on the RTHS soccer team. As an athlete myself I know the work and dedication this team puts in, and I wanted to show all sides of that this season. Special thanks to Liam, Zach and Kidus for putting up with my paparazzi-like presence, Jay Liotta for letting me do this project in the first place, and all of the RTHS soccer players and parents for letting me get a glimpse into their lives this fall.
